Details are stills sparse, but family BBQ chain Texas Roadhouse plans to add a little mobile to its menu.
The chain - known for giant ribs and steaks - is working with a solutions partner named Knotice to bringing what's being dubbed as "dynamic text-message dialogue interactions as well as static keyword mobile marketing programs - with location-based targeting - to its outbound marketing and customer relationship marketing efforts.
I really have no idea what "static keyword mobile marketing" is supposed to be. But the rest sounds like some mix of opt-in text messaging for customer's who'd like to find out about the latest deals and offers.
I think the Roadhouse probably has a somewhat faithful clientele, so this is probably a nice way to round 'em up and keep 'em coming in.
