Updated: The Mouse House no comes with iPhone guidebook app.
TimeStream Software's new iPhone app contains over 200 pages of information, over 150 photos and other guide information on Disney World, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and more.
From in-depth descriptions of every attraction and the history of Walt Disney World, to phone numbers and even Hidden Mickey tours, this is a go-to (but unofficial) guide to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
And yet, it could be so much more.
In BRANDING UNBOUND the book, I look at earlier systems from Disney that were geo-location based, meaning as you walked around the park, information on nearby events and attractions would hit your handheld. FastPass alerts would let you know when you need to head for your next ride. And history and points of interest came to you in real time, based on where you're standing in the park. With the iPhone's GPS capabilities, there's no reason this solution can't feature this kind of experience.
Still, it sounds like a good first start on the platform.
Can't wait to see what the next rev brings.

To be clear, this guide to Walt Disney World was not produced by Disney nor Walt Disney World. The publisher is TimeStream Software, and this title is not an official Disney publication. More information is contained in the title's copyright information.
