AdMob Launches Facebook Mobile Advertising

Facebook_admob_ad_platform Advertisers are about to get more face time with Facebook aficionados.

San Mateo, Calif.-based mobile ad network operator AdMob has launched a new mobile ad platform that enables application developers who create programs for Facebook to include mobile advertising within their apps. Google's got the same thing with its Open Social.

The issue: Facebook will no doubt build out its own ad platform for mobile, which will then end up competing with third party ads.

And is that what Facebook, much less its members, really want?
